Join Mountain House for our 8th annual 5k/10k Kite Run (or walk!)
followed by the Kite Festival on Saturday, June 8th, 2013.

2013 is the first year this event is operated by local volunteers from our nonprofit MH Flag Football League and the MH Runners Club - now any proceeds will support our youth flag football and youth cheer leagues.

**Important Update May 9, 2013**

This race will sell out at 300 runners, and may sell out before race day - there will be no onsite registration if it sells out.
All 300 runners who finish are guaranteed a finisher's medal and tech shirt.
The Kids Fun Run is limited to the first 100 kids that sign up.

Races & Starting times

5k & 10k both begin @ 8:30am on Saturday, June 8th, 2013
5k & 10k feature computerized chip timing.  Photo downloads are free for all runners.
A kids fun run for 12 & under kids run (under half mile) begins @ 8:00am

You can register online with credit card through Active.com, and we accept mail-in registrations if you fill out our registration and waiver forms, and mail them to Mountain House Flag Football, 92 Sean Ave, Mtn. House, CA 95391.

Kids 12 & under fun run - Free, includes finisher ribbon (a short ~ 1/4 mile run)
5k - $30 for all ages   |   10k - $35 for all ages
5k & 10k Runners get medals for top 3 age group finishers, tech shirt & finisher medal.

Description

Enjoy a scenic loop course in Mountain House, in the East bay between Livermore & Tracy, starting next to Central Community Park and circling the Creek Park. Come for the Kite Run and stay for the annual Kite Festival immediately following the race.

Course

Our flat, fast loop course winds around the Mountain House Creek Park and is spectator friendly. The park is a nature-oriented open space that extends along an existing creek and related wetlands. Half asphalt and half decomposed granite, the course offers an excellent 'PR' opportunity. All levels of runners and walkers are welcome. Strollers are also welcome.

Driving Directions

From Walnut Creek area: From 1-580 take 1-205 East toward Tracy/Stockton. Take the Mountain House Parkway exit. Turn left onto Mountain House Parkway. Turn left onto West Arnaudo Blvd. Turn right onto Central Parkway.

From Sacramento & Stockton areas : Take 1-5 South toward LA. Take 1-205 toward Tracy/SF. Take the Mountain House Parkway Exit. Turn right on Mountain House Parkway. Turn left onto West Arnaudo Blvd. Turn right onto Central Parkway.
